Cody Barbeau

PCI, NCCP I, and Head Coach of the National Competitive Training League.  Bilingual

Cody is proud to be a Pickleball Coach for the Orléans Tennis Club and currently competes as a Selkirk Sport Professional Player. He is also the Head Pickleball Coach at the RA Centre and manages the NCTL – High-Performance Program and all competitive leagues. He is a multiple gold medalist in local and regional events and a national medalist.

Cody has been coaching pickleball for 6 years. He is the founder of the National Competitive Training League (2019) which assembles top players to develop the skills and mindset necessary to compete and win at a national level.  As a result, Cody has the pleasure of coaching, drilling, and playing with top Pickleball players across Canada. 
 
Cody’s passion for coaching is equally as high as his passion for competing. His goal is to workwith players to break barriers and improve their skills, so they achieve all their goals.

Joane van Bergen

PPR Certified Coach, Bilingual Instructor

 

Joane loves playing pickleball, is passionate about teaching both adults and youth, enjoys competing, and has refereed many tournaments including the US Open.  She earned her Pickleball Coaching Certification from the PPR Professional Pickleball Registry and her Level 2 Referee status in Naples, Florida.  She is a member of PCO and USAPA. 

 

Joane's organized lessons focus on understanding basics from the onset and developing fundamental skills to establish a solid foundation.  Her Referee status allows her to pass on all the current rules and strategy tips.

 

Joane offers a simple and efficient approach to the game.  She enjoys helping others learn the sport and improve their performance.

Pickleball Instructor: Hiba Komati

NCCP Level 2 Instructor, Trilingual

 

When Hiba started playing pickleball in 2018, she instantly loved its fast-paced nature and dynamic gameplay and she found herself spending hours on the court. The thrill of competition, the camaraderie with fellow players, and the joy of improvement—it all fuels her love for the sport and the thrill to compete in several tournaments including the Canada Nationals and the US Open. She has spent
countless of hours training through clinics and lessons from the best coaches, that lead her to earn several gold medals in Canadian tournaments. As she’s grown as a player, coaching has become a natural extension of her journey, allowing her to share passion with others.

 

Hiba is a certified NCCP level 2 pickleball instructor (National Coaching Certification program). With over 5 years of experience as an advanced player and more than 3000 hours of on-court time, she brings a wealth of knowledge to every session. As a coach, Hiba believes in a holistic approach to training, focusing not only on technical skills but also on mental fortitude and strategic thinking. She instills in
her students the importance of discipline, perseverance, and sportsmanship. But what truly makes Hiba stand out is her ability to connect deeply with players. She approaches each session with a commitment to understanding the unique needs of her students, ensuring that everyone leaves not only with refined skills but also with a newfound confidence in their abilities. Hiba’s coaching philosophy is about more than just teaching; it’s about fostering growth and empowerment.

Luc Germain

IPTPA Level 2 Instructor, Bilingual

 

Luc has been coaching pickleball since 2014. He loves helping players improve their game. He is a Certified Coaching Canada Level 2 Pickleball Coach, a Pickleball Canada National Coaching Certification Program Learning Facilitator and he is also a Level 2 IPTPA Certified Pickleball Teaching Professional (CPTP).

Pickleball Instructor : Matt Kawamoto

IPTPA Level 2 Instructor

 

Matt Kawamoto started playing pickleball in 2016. Since then, he has grown to become the top player in Ontario and one of the best in Canada. He was team Captain for Team Toronto
United who won the inaugural season of the Canadian National Pickleball League last year and has also been successful at many international tournaments including gold at the US Open. 

 

Having graduated from teacher’s college, Matt currently pursues a career in pickleball and enjoys teaching and competing in the game. He brings his love of teaching to all his lessons and clinics and finds a way to connect with each student. He is a director and a level 2 instructor for the IPTPA, one of the leading coaching organizations.

Ravi Prakash

IPTPA Level 2 Instructor
 

Ravi is an enthusiastic pickleball player and experienced coach. Having earned an IPTPA level 2 certificate and three years of coaching pickleball, he has won second place in the Canada Nationals and several more medals. Ravi also has 6 years of squash coaching with a US Squash Level 1 Certification. He has also coached badminton and cricket for many years.
 

Ravi is an energetic coach who believes in the importance of having strong fundamentals. He makes the process enjoyable while explaining the nuances of the different styles the game can be played. He plans his courses meticulously to suit your needs and achieve your goals.
