Covid 19

COVID-19 Protocol

Welcome to the 2021 season of the Orleans Tennis club. A lot has changed since last year with the advent of different strain of the virus and the development of a vaccine for covid-19.

Some of these new strains of the virus are more contagious and deadly and even though you may have been vaccinated you can still carry and spread the covid-19 virus.

The Orleans Tennis club (OTC) is serious about protecting its member’s health and has instituted the following Covid-19 protocol.

OTC COVID-19 Protocol as of May 22, 2021

Do not play if you are sick, exhibiting covid-19 symptoms or have been in contact with someone with Covid-19 in the last 14 days.

Mandatory wearing of mask at the waiting areas outside the fence, while entering and traveling to your court, while waiting to play and while exiting the court. Mask may be taken off only during play but must be worn again if you stop playing.

Singles play only with a maximum of 2 players per tennis or pickleball court (no doubles play, no spares or spectators, no exceptions for family or household members).

Only enter the court area (inside the fence) after all players on your reserved court have left.

Hand sanitizer is provided on each court and wipes at the entry and exit points so that members can disinfect their hand and equipment as they see fit.

Courts are open for OTC members only. No guests. Valid 2021 OTC shoe tag must be on display at all times.

Play is by reservation only via CourtReserve or by registering with your event coordinator.  No drop-in.

Arrive close to your start time and wait in the designated waiting area.

When you finish playing bring your garbage and leave the court promptly.

Maximum 8 players inside the fence at anytime.

Do not gather in groups or congregate on the courts or near the gate or fence.

The clubhouse and washroom will be closed until further notice.
